I must be old because I am so excited when I see stories of early 90´s raytracing
programs. Actually those were only command line driven in the DOS and the script
was some sort of C+ type of language. It was very simple to make some basic shapes
and shaders but most complex forms were rather difficult to make. Constructive Solid
Geometry (CSG) was my first step into modeling something with Booleans.
I started to code some povray scenes back in early 90´s but the files are mostly gone
and some of my raytracing pictures are only printed on couple of papers. I must have ended
with povray around year 2000 or so when I started with 3Ds max 4. Before this I had also 3D Studio R2
in DOS too.
I found this interesting articles with old raytracing renderings.
